Efficient Application of Rotary Nozzle Dust Box in Automobile Injection Molding Parts Production

Background and pain points

An auto parts manufacturer found in the injection molding production process that the surface of polypropylene interior parts is often caused by electrostatic adsorption of workshop dust and fibers, resulting in problems such as particle impurities and uneven coating in the subsequent spraying process, and the defective rate of products is as high as 12%. Traditional manual dust removal efficiency is low and can not completely eliminate the residual static electricity, the need for automated solutions.

1. Core design highlights

Biaxial rotary ion nozzle: two groups of 360 rotary static eliminators are arranged up and down, equipped with high-frequency AC ion generators, covering complex structures such as curved surfaces and hole positions of injection molded parts, and reducing the surface electrostatic voltage from ± 8kV to less than ± 50V within 10 seconds.

multistage dust removal system:

Primary pre-cleaning: 0.6MPa compressed air vortex blowing, peeling off attached loose particles;

Electrostatic neutralization: the ion nozzle releases positive and negative ion groups to neutralize the static electricity on the surface of the parts and make the micron dust separate;

Negative pressure dust collection: the bottom is equipped with a 30m ³/h air volume centrifugal fan to capture suspended particles through a honeycomb dust collection plate, with a filtration accuracy of 5μm.

Application Effectiveness

Efficiency improvement: single-piece processing time is shortened from 3 minutes to 25 seconds, and the daily production capacity of the production line is increased by 4 times;

Breakthrough in yield: the defective rate of spraying process decreased from 12% to 0.8, and the annual scrap loss was reduced by more than 2 million yuan;

Energy saving and environmental protection: the power consumption of ion generator is only 70W, which is 35% energy saving compared with traditional industrial dust removal equipment.
