Coating machine is mainly used for film and paper and other surface coating process production, coating machine is the roll of substrates, such as: paper, cloth, leather, aluminum foil and plastic film, etc., coated with a layer of a specific function of the glue, paint or ink, etc., and drying and winding equipment. Many production processes shall use low boiling point, volatile flammable and explosive organic solvents, such as toluene, solvent gasoline and a variety of ketone and ester solvents, which will produce a large number of flammable and explosive melt gases, and the static electricity will cause the combustion and explosion of hazardous substances.

The causes of static electricity are: 1, the unwinding area of the substrate from the parent rolls separated from the static electricity, 2, the substrate in the roller friction generates static electricity, 3, the rapid flow of the solution in the conduit or spray generates static electricity, 4, the stirring of the solution generates static electricity, and so on.

Static electricity on the coated substrate can also cause many coating defects, e.g. a static charged substrate is more prone to attract dust and dirt from the environment, or it can produce defects like cracks and pinholes on the coated surface.

Question:

Static electricity in the coating process often produces many problems, because the substrate used is usually insulating materials, paper or film materials being processed with the coater all kinds of guide roll friction will produce a lot of static electricity. Solution:

1、Installation of Tronovo's explosion-proof static eliminator near the coating head.

2、Mounting from the height of the product surface 4~5cm

3、If you need to get rid of dust, you can connect clean compressed air, and its strong ionized airflow can remove static electricity and dust foreign matter on the surface.

Static eliminator installation position is very critical, static eliminator is not installed closer to the substrate the better, usually recommended static eliminator distance from the substrate should be about 4 ~ 5cm or so for the better.
